Mae's Place
About
"Mae's Place" is, put simply, our peaceful little sanctuary nestled in the woods of the tiny village of Harbert, Michigan. Our home is named after my mother Nellie Mae, who passed away when I was just six years old. She was a painter, a poetess and a lover of animals and nature. And when I set foot on the first cobble stone leading up to our home...I knew it was her place...

Where IS Mae's Place?
Mae's Place is located a little over 1 hour from Chicago and Grand Rapids and just under 3 hours from Detroit, Indianapolis and Milwaukee. It's about 10 minute drive from I-94, 20 minute drive to the SW Michigan Winery Row and 7 minute walk to Lake Michigan
What makes Mae's Place Special?
Well, if you ask me what makes our home special, its the TREES! There are over 300 trees on our property (which includes Mae's Place and The Barn) and about 200 of them surround Mae's Place!

Everything was amazing. Second year in a row and hoping to make it an annual tradition!

I am in love with all the PLANTS! It may sound funny, but for me they are better even than the hot tub (which was fabulous, by the way)
